Lisbon by night: between music, charm and mystery
Tour description
Lisbon at night like you've never seen it before. The city of light, even at night, is alive and full of lights, more subdued and mysterious, but which give it a tremendously intimate and captivating charm that inspired romantics from all over the world and from all ages. Our route will develop starting from Largo Chiado , in front of the historic Café de Brasileira , and then in the neighborhoods ( Barrios ) around the castle of Sao Jorge, stopping at some of the key monuments of the city such as the Convento do Carmo , the Casa do Alentejo , from Eduardino to taste the Ginja ( cherry liqueur ), the steps of Sao Cristobao , the Cathedral ( Sé ) and the viewpoints ( miradouros ) of Santa Luzia and Porta do Sol and then head to the irregular streets of Alfama ( the old Arab/medieval neighborhood) where the city was born and where the ancient song of fado developed, right in the old taverns where we can stop and listen to fado, samba ( performed by the great Brazilian community ) or the Lusitanian song , simple-flavored products locals like salgados, bifana and drinking good Portuguese wine. We will admire the moon, the stars (or both) reflecting in the Tagus River from the Santo Estevao viewpoint , where musicians usually go to sing their songs. The evening will end in Figueira Square, in Baixa Pombalina, around midnight.
