On the free tour Ancient Rome and the Jewish Quarter we will accompany you on a tour of one of the most emblematic areas of Antiquity.
We will start at the Circus Maximus , where the famous horse races took place and from which we will enjoy one of the most impressive panoramic views of the Palatine Hill.
We will continue towards the Mouth of Truth , where a famous scene from the film Roman Holiday was filmed, and we will tell you why it is said that it is dangerous to put your hand in it... But you will also discover the secrets of the Forum Boarium , where we can still admire two of the best preserved temples from Antiquity.
We will then arrive at the Teatro Marcello , the only ancient theatre preserved in Rome thanks to its curious reuse, and we will enter the archaeological area occupied by this same theatre and the monumental Portico of Octavia .
Finally, we will visit the ghetto or Jewish quarter , one of the oldest in Europe. Famous for its picturesque streets and its imposing synagogue, we will delve into the events of the Second World War .
And we will end our walk through history in the Sacred Area of Largo Argentina , where the assassination of Julius Caesar took place in 44 BC.
