The tour was great. Lots of historical information which is what we wanted. Just wasn’t particularly thrilled with a comment the tour guide made regarding Russian money but other than that we were satisfied with the tour and the information we got.

One of the best tours we’ve ever done (and we do lots!). Highly recommended! Max is just great - his tour was a perfect balance of history, humour, facts and anecdotes. Kept us all captivated and engaged, both adults and kids. Not too heavy on details and yet enough history to spark our curiosity and make us want to learn more about Ancient Rome. Very well planned and delivered! Last but not least, his English is amazing. Thank you Max! We hope to do more tours with you next time we are in Rome!

Max was amazing! He was incredibly knowledgeable about ancient Roman history and kept the tour engaging from start to finish. He was attentive, responsive to heaps of questions, and really brought the history to life. I especially appreciated his insights into Roman literature and the great chat we had about how it connects to my work as a yoga teacher. Would totally recommend this tour to anyone!

Great little tour of ancient Rome lit up at night. Would definitely recommend to people who are looking to see these places in a different light. Our guide was great and gave us some interesting historical facts and stories along the way. Overall the tour was well organised and we finished pretty much on time.

Max was great, explained everything in such a simple and interesting way, walked us through a brief history of the Roman Empire - from the “ab urbe condita”, Punic wars to Julius Caesar, Augustus and Nero and all the way to the end. Timing at 6:30 pm is ideal because the setting is so nice. I would definitely recommend to everyone visiting Rome, it’s a much better experience to learn something new and hear great stories about the rich history then just paying the entrance tickets to the sights.

Marcello was a terrific guide. His historical knowledge is vast and he was sharing it with the group in the most entertaining and engaging manner. He was also very considerate and made sure to find small shelters for our group to hide from the light rain to make the walk ever more pleasant.

I knew too much already myself, so the general info was somwhat known to me already, although I like to be remembered on few details. For the rest of but for people in the group the information depth and amount was great. And I really like that I could have more in depth conversation with the guid in between the stops, for me that was the best. Great tour, really recomend.

Max took us through a very cool and interesting route in Rome and was able to give us some interesting information. However, he sometimes added some comments that were unnecessary and the tour could have been better without them.
