From the moment we started, it was clear that he was not only highly knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about the city, its history, and its culture. The tour lasted almost three hours, but it felt like no time at all—we could have listened to him for weeks! He really knows his stuff and makes everything so interesting. No matter what we asked, he had a great answer, and you can tell he loves sharing his knowledge. Whether you're into history, food, sports, or culture, we feel confident that he would make sure the tour fits what you’re interested in. On top of that, he’s just a really friendly and professional guide. He pays attention to the little things like pointing out great photo spots, giving tips on the best places to eat and drink, and even making sure we had time for a quick restroom break if needed. He knows all the opening hours too, so he adjusted the tour, we circled back to some things, and he added tips about what to look for when we came back on our own. He also has a really interesting background that adds something extra to the experience. Plus, he’s super approachable, not just with us but with everyone we came across. You can tell he loves what he does, and it makes the tour even better. If you’re in Pamplona, don’t miss this tour, and definitely stay until the end for a great surprise!! We booked on a very short notice and we enjoyed learning about the history and the culture of Pamplona as well as learning a new sport we have never heard about before. ;) I would definitely recommend the tour to everyone visiting Pamplona.

Gus gave us a great tour today! His English is *excellent* & he is funny too. Since it was only 4 of us, it felt like a private tour! It actually lasted 4 hours which we were happy with & we even got a lesson on the Spanish hand ball game (jaialai?). Gus had the balls & “rackets” & taught us at the wall(you don’t Have to)

Very informative your and my husband and I enjoyed the detailed tour. Gus is very friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us great insight into the festival of San Fermín. The playing of jai alai at the end was a high point for my my husband who is a tennis player. Lots of fun.

I really enjoyed my tour of Pamplona. I grew up in the Basque Country and visited Pamplona many times, yet having a passionate and knowledgable guide like Gus sharing stories, history and recommendations made me see Pamplona in a very different light. He was entertaining, had some funny stories of his own, but also had great knowledge about the history which he was able to deliver in a fun way. He also recommend a couple of places to eat which I tried out after the tour and he was spot on, they were great! Pamplona is a real hidden gem that deserves to be visited outside of the San Fermines. If you are in the area make sure to book on to the tour, you won't regret it!

An excellent tour. Lots of historical information as well as first hand experience of the Bull festival. Extra fun learning how to play pelota. Gus was a great guide I would strongly recommend him.

Gave us a tour even though the other people who had singed up had to cancel at the last minute. He took the time to teach us pelota, which was an added bonus!

For the past years we have been using Guruwalk on every city we have visited. They have all been fairly good but Gus was exceptional. His knowledge of the little details made the 4 hour long walk entertaining and kept you engaged. But the most fun was when he tough us to pay Jai alai. That was fun. In general Gus was engaging, entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. Gave us a better understanding of Pamplona and its customer and culture.

The free walking tour of Pamplona was fantastic! Gus was incredibly accommodating to our shortened schedule, enthusiastic, and spoke excellent English. Walking the Running of the Bulls route was a highlight, with fascinating stories about its history and traditions. Beyond that, we explored key landmarks and hidden gems, and the guide eagerly answered all our questions, even giving great local tips. Their passion and knowledge made the tour a memorable experience—highly recommend!
