Free Tour Old Town of Pamplona/Iruña
Tour description
If you hear about Pamplona, the first thing that probably comes to mind is the San Fermin festival, but what if I told you that it is a city with more than 3,000 years of history, marked by its strategic location and the countless conflicts that have existed within its imposing walls?
We will begin our tour in the heart of the city, Plaza del Castillo, and then visit the most emblematic places of the festivities, the town hall and Cuesta de Santo Domingo, the Mercaderes curve and the famous Estafeta street.
We will talk about medieval Iruña with the church of San Saturnino, the Cathedral and the Rincón de Caballo Blanco.
We will end by taking a short tour of the walls, from the Baluarte del Redín to the Portal de Francia. Our last destination will be the Archivo de Navarra, where we will briefly summarize everything we have seen so far, and you will realize that Pamplona is much more than its main festivals.
