This tour was great! Pablo took us to many demonstrations at sites we may not have visited had we tried to go on our own. He was very informative!

Flavio organised a great guide Luis for our tour. The route was excellent we had free English tours of chocolate, coffee, textiles, church and native bees/honey. We spent 4 hours with our guide and it was just the three of us. Great experience, can go at your own pace. Highly recommend!

It was a great and very cultural tour! We went to many places and learned about the maia culture. The guide explains a lot about the place, history and culture. You can have good shopping on the way. I really recommend!!

También ofrece un tour que conecta con cooperativas de San Juan. Esto te permite acercarte a la gente más allá de una simple relación comercial. Esto permite un intercambio cultural único! En la cooperativa de cacao, de textiles y en la de miel de abeja, nos recibieron con las puertas abiertas. No hay nada mejor que visitar el pueblo con un local y qué además explicar y comparte sus raíces.

Flavio arranged for Aristides to do the tour and we couldn't have asked for a better guide to visit the pretty town of San Juan. Aristides was very informative and gave us lots of insights into the Guatemalan and Mayan culture and their way of life. He spoke perfect English and we were able to share life experiences together, he is very approachable and personable Can't recommend it him enough

Aristides is a very nice guy who knows a lot and takes you to wonderful places. It's not like a standard tour, but more like a walk with a friend who can answer all your questions. We 100% recommend Aristides.

Flavio arranged for Pablo to give us a tour since he was out of the country. Pablo was great with our kids, very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Even though we were an hour late, he waited for us and greeted us kindly. Prior to our tour, he sent me a text introducing himself. I had hoped to visit the Mayan health cooperative but that’s okay, we were all tired and were satisfied with the 3 that we did visit (weaving, stingless honey bees and coffee). Highly recommend!

Excellent experience

The tour was amazing!!!!! Our guide was very informative and very patient with us. my group and I are definitely out of shape and that he took us out but nonetheless our guide waited patiently with us never complained about us wanting to take a break and overall was just so kind. He gave us a mix between history, culture and personal experience. he did not overload us with a ton of long each about each place but the Tour was very informative. We got to see so much of San Juan the end of it we were exhausted. It was a wonderful way to spend a day in San Juan if you’ve never visited before I 10 out of 10 recommend you take this tour because you will not be disappointed and will love it just as much as I did.

It was a wonderful tour, bursting with colour and culture. I enjoyed it a lot and Pablo, who took the place of Flavio today, was such a warm and enthusiastic guide with a good level of the English language. Visiting the cooperatives was a wonderful experience, hands on and super informative. Occasionally when the Spanish explanations were too fast for me to catch fully Pablo translated for me. It was very interesting tour , the guide is very kind and with a lot of knowledge. It was one of the best tour we had in Guatamela.

Flavio gave us the best day of our trip. He showed us so much and introduced us to many locals. The walk felt more like hanging out with a friend who was a local than a guided tour. Don’t get me wrong, this is very much a tour but Flavio’s charisma and attention to detail make it so much more personal. We sampled honey and wine while learning about stingless bees. We visited various shops and met local artists. We were given a traditional Mayan weaving demonstration while touring a textile shop. We toured a chocolate shop that allowed us to sample all types of chocolate and several flavors of chocolate alcohol, all made on site. We visited a coffee plantation, met the owner, learned the history while sampling his wonderful coffee. The walked highlighted the culture and beauty of San Juan La Laguna and I couldn’t believe it was free. Please do yourself a favor and book a tour with Flavio.

Flavio was an amazing guide. He communicate very well in english and he knows so many things about the region and the people. We did many Guru Walk tours and we believe this one was the most interesting as we had to learn many diversified things about bees, coffee, textile and many more. He is very involved in Guatemala's community and he knows a lot of people. Flavio was a teacher previously and it really shows when we hear him communicate and teach us stuff.

Pedro has a wonderful knowledge of the area and is obviously proud to share this with others. He knew all the perfect spots for photo ops and was patient with all of us as we were exploring the various venues. Highly recommend.

We had a great time in San Juan La Laguna. Our guide chose an easy to find meeting point and arrived right on time. The first visit was the chocolate factory where we tasted many items, we then walked up Umbrella Street(hill) and he offered to take many photos of us. We made our way to a textile co op and got to make thread and watch the pros weave the amazing fabrics the local women wear. We also went to a bee farm and tasted all sorts of amazing honey. Along the way he even gave us time to stop and paint a mural. It was a blast.

Definitivamente Pedro es un amplio conocedor de la cultura, historia y actualidad de los diferentes pueblos y lugares alrededor del lago de Atitlan. Sin duda recomiendo tomar el tour y a Pedro como guia! Hace una gran diferencia para bien el hacer el recorrido con guia, te lleva los lugares indicados y conoce a la gente

It was a nice informative tour. I got to relearn about coffee, chocolate, and honey. I also learned about how they create their dyes and textiles. I also learned about the Mayan Corn God and Jaguar God. I also got to see a lot of colors patterns amd beautiful paintings.
