We had a fantastic food tour with Lupita as our guide. She was very friendly and communicative, and thanks to the small group size, the experience felt personal and relaxed. She introduced us to a wide variety of places and an impressive range of dishes we wouldn’t have found on our own. There was also plenty of time to chat about many different topics, which made the tour even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Arturo was the best guide and I can’t say enough how wonderful he was on our tour of Jalatlaco/Oaxaca. He was informative, patient, and answered all of our questions. My partner is a chef, and we had the absolute best time learning about the different foods of Oaxaca as well as the history that developed around these foods. I highly recommend Arturo.

We just finished the best of 4 free walking tours in Oaxaca. Arturo was an amazing pleasant and friendly guide full of knowledge that was very clear to understand as his English was almost perfect. He grew up in the area and could share stories about the culture and history of his 'magical' neighbourhood. We were truly impressed. We stopped at about 10 places to try the local food and drink and learn about its preparation. His pace of walking was slow and sure over the cobblestone streets so a perfect tour for all types of walkers. We highly recommend him for your adventure into the foods of the charming Jalatlaco streets and parks.

Lupita was a fabulous and accommodating food tour guide. We visited a wide array of food makers, producers, and vendors in Oaxaca and had so much fun!

It was a very fun and informative tour. We tried many delicious local dishes, and received interesting information about the local food. With so many options around you what to eat it can feel overwhelming, and it was really nice to have a local guide who can guide you which local dishes are better to try. Guadalupe was fun and knowledgeable

Guadeloupe was a great guide. She has professional background in food technology, so she knows what’s she’s talking about. She took her time, never rushed us from point to point. Showed us some of the best foods we ate in Mexico. She’s a great human and I highly recommend her tour!

I loved the tour! Had some really good food and a great time. Lupita is a lovely guide. Very enthousiastic and considerate with the needs of the group.

We very much enjoyed touring the local markets with a knowledgeable guru who took care in keeping the group together so nobody got separated and was conscientious of our gastronomic needs and allergies. She explained very well in English about the history and culture of the food and locations we visited in the central area of Oaxaca. Our only advice is that she have a flag or bright jacket so we could recognize her at the meeting place. We recommend this tour for your local culinary experience!

We had a fabulous afternoon with Guadalupe exploring the flavors of Oaxaca. She has a great knowledge of traditional Oaxacan food and a passion to share it with everyone. We tasted a little bit of many things and now know what we want to come back and try again. We highly recommend this culinary tour with Guadalupe.

Fun, delicious & informative tour. Arturo was a great guide and (at our request) he spoke in a mix of English and Spanish so we could practice our comprehension. We left the tour with happy hearts and full bellies!!

I really enjoyed this tour. I got to try a wide variety of authentic, traditional dishes from different regions of Oaxaca. I had never heard of funeral mole or wedding adobo before, the variety of flavors and options truly surprised me.
