Free Walking Tours in Mexico City of Street Art and Graffiti

At first I was contacted by text that the tour is canceled due to less enrolment. I was given the option to do another tour which I agreed. Then I was told the Urban Art tour is going ahead but in Spanish which I didn’t sign up for. I wanted it in English. I did the English tour with Gabby she is awesome and had really good people skills. I was only disappointed that there was some disorganization at the beginning

Amazing and unique tour of the Mexico city's part where we wouldn't have visited probably by ourselves. Our guide Edwardo patiently and delightfully explained to us about the history, transit, murals, and life in Mexico city. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience of cable car tour of murals and life in Mexico.

A Great experience. Our guide Camelia gave a lot information about local tradition, culture, and public transportations. Her English is excellent, and explanation is clear and to the point. Market visiting in Iztapalaba is great too. Hmmm, I started a bad diarrhea that night... I suspect that is due to the Jugo Verde I had over there although my friend who had the same juice is fine. So folks with a sensitive stomach like me need to pay attention.

This was an awesome tour!!! Got to do things and see things that we would’ve never done on our own!! The cable car ride and the food market was just phenomenal. If there was higher then 10 then I would give it.

The tour is eye-opening. I can think of no better way to grasp the magnitude of this city and Tomas is an excellent guide to help you grasp this. Born and bred here, but also well travelled, he is empathetic, engaging and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

This was an incredible tour that gave us views over the city. The rooftop murals were beautiful and Eduardo was a wealth of knowledge (and he had hair like a model). Ate lunch in the local market and I don’t remember chewing much it was so good. Would recommend!

What a fantastic surprise!!! The tour was so awesome and so much more than it stated on the tour details. Not so much walking, but more of the use of the subway and tram, as we thought we would be walking for 3.5 hours, thank goodness for that!!! An introduction to a local market in town and eating and drinking was another surprise. Benjamin was very knowledgeable of the history of MX city and I Highly recommend this tour!!!

We did the cable tour and it was an amazing experience that we could not have done otherwise. Francesca was great person, telling us so many interesting facts about the metro, the meanings and the culture. It was the perfect selection as a last tour at Mexico. Thank you Cactus team

Ana Maria was a delight to meet. She lives locally so knows where to visit. The neighbourhood is very nice and after the walk I suggest taking lunch in one of her recommendations.

What a fantastic tour. The tour is very different to most walking tours and also includes a food component. Gabby explained the Metro system on our way to the cable car. Lunch was informative, delicious and different. I highly recommend Gabby and the tour.

One of a kind tour: unforgettable and highly recommended! Eduardo was an excellent guide from start to the end. He explained the metro and cable car system, mentioning many highly interesting historical facts from how it was established to how it is being maintained. He introduced Iztapalapa - a vibrant 1.8 million neighborhood in such an interactive way! Our group - a complete strangers at the beginning parted as buddies. The lunch in the local market was a highlight. An experience that I want to repeat next time I’m returning to CDMX!

A great way to see parts of MXC I wouldn’t have visited on my own. Great views, history and introduction to the ease of public transport. Gabriel was a fantastic guide, kept the group together, lots of energy and great information, welcomed questions and was patient in helping direct each group to their post-tour destination.

This is an amazing tour to see the hidden or remote parts of Mexico City. It takes you up over the roof tops of the most populated neighborhoods outside the city and on top of surrounding mountains. Our very pleasant, knowlegeful and experience guide was full of history and culural anecdotes. The most helpful valuble part was taking us through and learnig how to navigate the overwhelming conneting routes of the Metro system which was needed to get to the Cable Cars. At the top of the trip we stopped and visited a local town and its large farmers Market. The added bonus was eating local traditional Mexican food. HIgly recommended.

Gabi was an incredible guide and our group had a great time! We are so glad we took this tour and would recommend it to anyone looking to get more familiar with public transit here, learn some history about the city, and go outside the city center. 5 stars!
