Reservamos el tour en inglés, pero como todo nuestro grupo también hablaba español, terminamos disfrutándolo en español. Bruce no solo estaba muy bien informado sobre la comida y la historia de los distintos estilos, sino que además tenía una gran conexión con varios puestos locales “escondidos”, donde nos compartieron mucho más de lo que esperábamos en cuanto a sabores y preparaciones. Nunca sentimos que estábamos en un tour con un guía, sino más bien paseando con un amigo que nos llevaba a sus lugares favoritos de comida local. Todos estuvimos de acuerdo: recomendamos muchísimo hacer este tour con Bruce y confiar en él mientras comparte los increíbles sabores culinarios locales de Lima. We booked the tour in English, but because our group all spoke Spanish as well we enjoyed the tour in Spanish. Bruce was not only very knowledgeable about the food and the history of styles very well connected with the various local “hole in the wall” vendors who shared more than expected in terms of food styles and tastes. We never felt like we were on a tour with a guide but rather hanging out with a friend hitting some favorite local food spots. I/we all agreed- we would highly recommend talking this tour with Bruce and trust him as he shares the great culinary flavors of the locals in Lima. !
Great tour. Gia took me to try many great foods from different places. She was also very knowledgeable about the country and how the cuisine has changed over time. Will definitely be returning to some of the spots she showed me
This food tour was fantastic. Bruce introduced us to a side of Lima that many visitors likely overlook. Every street food we sampled was excellent, from the ceviche to the exotic fruits. He also did a great job weaving in the history of Peru with insights into its cuisine. Strongly recommended.
