This walking tour was absolutely incredible, thanks to our amazing guide, Marcello. His storytelling was nothing short of captivating—he had a unique ability to bring ancient Rome to life, keeping us engaged and on edge with every tale he told. From the Temple of Hercules, the oldest marble temple in the city, to the Temple of Portunus, a stunning relic of the Roman Republic, Marcello wove fascinating details into every site we visited. At the Temple of Apollo, his stories about its role in Roman religion and art left us in awe, while his vivid descriptions of the Roman Forum transported us back to the heart of ancient political and social life. The grand finale was the Colosseum, where Marcello painted a vivid picture of gladiatorial games and the architectural brilliance of this iconic structure.
