Tommy was phenomenal!! We had the best walking tour I’ve ever had thus far including many in Europe, because Tommy was so flexible and knowledgeable with excellent English, taking us truly into the heart of Hanoi and its delicious food. Luckily my party of 2 were the only ones on the tour so we just told Tommy we wanted an introduction to lesser known Vietnamese cuisine and boy did he deliver! Next minute we are eating the most delicious Papaya salad on tiny plastic stools, trying the lesser known Sandworm omelette, Banh cuon which are crepe-y pork filled rolls, salt coffee, exploring Dong Xuan Market, mangosteen fruit on the side of the road and so much more. Most places were where the locals ate so you knew it was the real deal. Along the way, Tommy would share lots of interesting Vietnamese history and advice for other Hanoi activities for the rest of our trip. Highly highly recommend Tommy as a very knowledgeable, fun and flexible guide able to tailor your tour to what you would like to see and do. Thank you Tommy and Guruwalk for the perfect way to start our holiday!!

Chris is a top guy and I really enjoyed his tour. He has great energy and is a fascinating guide. He took us to and explained the history of the returned sword lake, a temple, the old quarter, wet, dry and cloth markets, beer street and everything in between. We got to make egg coffee with him which was delicious (and I'm not even a huge coffee drinker), try exotic fruits and much more. I felt very safe and comfortable with him and would recommend his tour.
