Excellent tour - we learned a lot about the people and culture of Oaxaca as well as its challenges - Rodolfo clearly cares a lot about the city and is very knowledgeable and friendly. We stopped at some beautiful places and Rodolfo also had great recommendations for places to visit after the tour. Highly recommend!

Rodolfo gave a fantastic walking tour - I would really recommend. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Oaxaca and sustainable tourism. We went in a small group which was perfect for being able to have a conversation with Rodolfo throughout the tour and to ask questions. I carefully read the reviews before choosing Rodolfo's tour and we chose his tour because we wanted the type of tour that he was offering. We can read about and see the socalled main attractions of El Centro without a tour guide and we wanted to see some lesser known parts of Oaxaca. As people who worked hard and saved money for retirement so we could travel, we are conflicted because we want to see and experience some cool places but we are well aware that excessive tourism is ruining some places as well. Barcelona probably leads this list but Venice and Lisbon and many other places are not far behind. Rodolfo feels the same about his city and has details about how and why this is happening to Oaxaca and some ideas on how to be a tourist that is a net postive rather than part of the burgeoning problem. Along the way, you'll also get to see some cool other parts of Oaxaca just outside of El Centro. Afterwards, he'll send you a bunch of recommendations for places to see and things to do.
