We had a delightful walking tour with Reg out and about in Christchurch. He was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who brought us to some really excellent spots around Christchurch. It was very interesting to see how Christchurch changed following the devestating earthquake. The walk was not too long, too short and it was an easy walking route. He does not have many reviews yet but I would very much encourage you to register for this tour while visiting the city. It was a highlight of our time in the city.
We do a lot of free walking tours while traveling and this one with Summer was on the better end of the ones we've done. The level of information was great, the spots covered were good, the recommendations were quite nice and there weren't any forced bad jokes or strange crowd interaction. We enjoyed this walk and I would definitely recommend others give it a try if in Hong Kong.
We did a tour through Kibera with Musa. It was just the two of us and we did it because we had an extra day but it turned out to be very interesting and another side to Nairobi we would not have seen otherwise. Musa was very knowledgeable about the community, having grown up there and included good stops that allowed you to see a good selection of locations in the slum. He also included a stop at his family home which was very nice to chat with his family and gain insight into life in the area. For those wondering about safety, at no point did we feel unsafe or harassed. Everyone either said hi to us or didn't pay us any attention. We had no concerns for safety. I would recommend this tour and Musa to anyone visiting the area. It was a worthwhile tour to have done and probably one of our highlights in Nairobi.
We had a nice walk around Nairobi with Edwin. Another group may have been small because we were joined by John and some other walkers and there were 7 of us total. Edwin had lots of good knowledge of the city, as did John, and they told us about some of the history. We stopped at a few landmarks around the city, including the library, market, university and a few other spots. There probably isn't an enormous amount to see in Nairobi but I feel like we covered it pretty well. I'd recommend this tour to others here for a few days looking to see the city.
We had a nice tour with Islam. He showed us lots of sights in the old town. He was very friendly and personable and open to answering any questions we had. Knowledgable about answering questions about Egypt and the area.
