Born and raised in Lagos, I have a great deal of memories of stories told by several generations of local people, not to mention their habits, behaviors and cultural issues.
Being an old-school traveler and an experienced hotelier myself, who already served thousands of travelers from all over the world, I have the urge to show my town in an alternative manner, a bit apart from the same old tours for tourists.
Die Free Walking Tour mit Artur in Lagos war wirklich großartig! Artur ist super nett, offen und kennt Lagos unglaublich gut – kein Wunder, denn er ist dort aufgewachsen und konnte uns viele persönliche Geschichten und spannende Hintergründe zu den Orten erzählen. Besonders schön fand ich, dass er uns angeboten hat, uns später am selben Tag nochmal zu treffen, um uns den Bio-Markt zu zeigen. Das war überhaupt nicht selbstverständlich und total persönlich. Während der Tour gab es außerdem kleine liebevolle Mitbringsel wie einen traditionellen Zimt-Keks und eine getrocknete Feige – eine wirklich schöne Geste. Nach der Tour haben wir (auf Wunsch) sogar noch eine E-Mail von ihm bekommen mit vielen Empfehlungen für Lagos – egal ob historische Orte, touristische Highlights oder gute Restaurants – plus ein ausführliches PDF über die Stadt. Ich war rundum zufrieden und würde jederzeit wieder eine Tour bei Artur buchen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Excellent tour, full of history, local tips, and engagement. A stop along the marina would have added to tne tour.
Tour muy completo y auténtico. El guía es originario de la ciudad y se nota por las anécdotas que cuenta. El recorrido es muy interesante y pasa por calles no evidentes si uno camina solo. Altamente recomendable.
