We loved our walking tour with Ignacio, and have to say it was our favourite tour out of a dozen we have had across South America. Ignacio was full of energy and passion about all of the topics that he was talking about, and clearly takes an interest in the history of Mendoza and Argentina as a whole. We learned a lot of information in our 2+ hours with him. He was so thorough with his details and information that we were left with very few questions. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you have only recently arrived in Mendoza. He will also follow up and provide recommendations of places to visit, restaurant to eat at, the best ice cream places, etc. Brilliant.
This walking tour certainly had some interesting spots and we did learn some things about the city, but we came away a little disappointed, feeling we could have done and seen more, and wished our guide had a little more enthusiasm and passion about the city and the country, etc.
Had a very enjoyable tour with Will today. His English was great, meaning he was able to explain his extensive knowledge of Quito and Ecuador history very well. Will was very diligent in answering all of our questions. The tour had a good balance of sight seeing, walking, information sharing and suggestions for local food and drink. We highly recommend 😃
Overall, we left with mixed feelings. Our guide, Alfonso turned up at approximately 13:30, having been instructed that we need to arrive at 13:00. Aside from that, we visited some interesting sites and we received some interesting information, but enthusiasm was lacking a little, and there was not much engagement with us as a group. The other disappointment was the route did not follow what was advertised, meaning we didn’t see 3 things we were expecting to see.
An enjoyable and useful walking tour with Javier. Initially this began in the gold museum and was focused on some of the key history of the area. We then explored a few parts of the city with additional insights being provided about the past, for the city and the country. There was perhaps a little too much time spent with ‘recommended’ vendors/restaurants/artists for our liking, but we certainly made some use of this information. Overall, a solid walking tour experience.
