Mohammed - Tour Guide in Fes

Unfortunately our experience with Mohammed wasn't the best. Despite his poor proficency in italian (but this is not a big issue), I cannot avoid to rate his performance quite disappointing. Since the beginning I had the feeling (validated later after a few research) that many historical information and stats were wrong or incongruents. Furthermore too often he was repetitive. In a few occasion he drove us in some shops hoping that we spend a lot of money as we were walking ATM. Also, when I asked just the names of some locals restaurants where to enjoy some traditional food, he immediately showed us one nearby. When we said "we will think about it", he started putting pressure in order to convince us to reserve a table immediately. It was a quite unconfortable situation. Last, but not least, towards the end of the tour one of the less noteworthy episodes occurred. Without pointing fingers or making unfounded insinuations, I had the distinct feeling that he was inquiring (although not explicitly and directly asking) whether I was interested in purchasing "certain substances" (obviously illegal). With lightness and irony he also told me (in front of my parents) "you look like someone who smokes weed". I found it very inappropriate and embarrassing. Lately, when it comes the moment to leave a donation, his faces completely changed (his cheerfulness completed faded) despite we left an amount in line with all the guides get and way higher than the average hourly wage in Morocco. I don't wanna discourage anyone to contact Mohammed, maybe only my experience with him wasn't the best. In any case keep in mind that, what happened to me, it can happen to everyone
