Had a good tour on a Tuesday morning
David’s San Jose walking tour covers a good route and a nice amount of information. That said, his approach to how he ran the tour was a bit odd. It felt like we were students he was trying to corral: he had clear physical placement ideas and would ask people to sit or stand in a particular spot at stops. I’d understand that in crowded areas if he was trying to make sure the group wasn’t disruptive to the general public, but found it weird when he did it multiple times in park with plenty of space (and no clear visual reason). He also was very bothered if anyone wandered a little while he was talking and would ask people to stop and pay attention to him. It was very rigid. I’ve been on many tours for tips, through guru and other sites, and this was the least fun I’ve ever had on one of these types of tours.
