I am a dual Bulgarian and British citizen. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and I lived here until I was 19 when I moved to the UK to complete my higher education. Before I moved there, I completed a course to become a tour guide in Sofia. I am passionate about the history and culture of my hometown and I would love to show it to the world and educate people from all over the world about Sofia and Bulgaria.
Super nice tour, location wise. However, as it is marketed as a historical tour, I was disappointed that i didn’t learn anything I hadn’t learned in the ‘free tour of Sofia’ which is supposed to be more general. She also left out some things, like Bulgaria not joining the 2004 expansion of the EU due to corruption, and questions not about the included locations were dodged
Had a great tour with Ekaterina! Very knowledgeable and down to earth. Not only saw some great places but was given some recommendations for food and wine afterwards. This tour is a must-do while in Sofia!
