What a memorable tour. We’ve been in several walking tours in different parts of Spain, but this one is by far my favorite. Not just because of the breathtakingly beautiful Granada, but also because of Miguel’s genuine, tangible passion for Spanish history and Flamenco. We chose Miguel’s tour because we thought we were getting a sweet two-in-one deal combining a Granada tour and Flamenco history- but we later learned that we HAD to have chosen this tour because of how Flamenco is inseparable from the history and people of Andalusia. My family and I really appreciated how warm, friendly and insightful Miguel was. Miguel shared heartwarming little anecdotes of his childhood, showing what it was like to grow up in this culture. Through one of these stories we learned about the nuns who sold cookies inside monestaries through a little window. Later in our Spain trip, we spotted a tiny window in a momentary and were beyond excited! Thanks to Miguel’s little story, we knew to ring the little bell to buy homemade cookies from a sweet nun inside- it became one of our favourite experiences so far. We also later watched a flamenco show on Miguel’s recommendation (he knows good places), and it was just as moving and entertaining as he’d promised they’d be. Knowing the history really makes a difference to your enjoyment of a flamenco show. I couldn’t recommend Miguel’s tour enough. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
