Hello and Namaste! my name is Manoj Thapa. I am from Kathmandu, Nepal. I am 29 Years old, and a licensed tourist guide. I’m passionate about my work and I know how to bring it to fruition.
I would describe myself as an open-hearted and straightforward person who doesn’t believe in deceiving other people and tries to be legitimate in everything I do.
My work as a tour guide is to lead groups of tourists or individuals through historical sites, museums, geographic destinations, and outdoor excursions. However, I not only see myself as a person dedicated to my work but also, I never forget to connect it with love, I have for my work and undoubtedly, I allow this love to reflect on the journey, I will have with my guests.
I am confident in my knowledge of Nepalese history, culture, traditions, heritages, and religions. I will be helping my guests to get a detailed understanding of the sites we will explore.

Manoj’s food tour was AMAZING! He’s chosen delicious-off-the-beaten-path places that we would have never found ourselves. We got to walk around as well inbetween eating. There was something my daughter really wanted to try some Nepali tea, and Manoj made a last minute change on route so we could go and try that. She was thrilled. This is the best tour we have ever done. Thank you Manoj - we’d definitely recommend this for families, groups or individuals.
I had a wonderful time with Manoj. He was knowledgeable, the food was tasty, and at places I would have never known about. He offered suggestions for other activities in Kathmandu and helped make arrangements. I would do more tours with Manoj.
The tour was great, even though it was Saturday night and we could not visit some of the places, the places we did go to were excellent. Local places I would never find on my own, Manoj really explained all the food and made us try some delicious stuff!
Following an incredible food tour, I continued with Manoj on a spiritual journey to the Pashupathinath and Boudhanath temples. This experience was truly enriching and eye-opening. Manoj ensured that I was safe amidst the bustling crowds and expertly guided me through the rituals. As a Hindu, receiving blessings and going inside the temples was a deeply meaningful experience, thanks to his clear explanations and guidance. Witnessing a cremation service was a unique and fascinating aspect of the tour that added to the profoundness of the visit. Manoj's knowledge and care made this tour a truly memorable afternoon.
