Wow, our guide, Clint (Eastwood 😉) is *extremely* good at what he does!! He's so charismatic and persuasive, he could run for public office. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The route, information and history were all top notch. I highly recommend Clint!
Marco was super entertaining and gave us great insider information about food, culture, architecture, language and curiosities. He was funny and very helpful with my questions. I only wish we visited more places, but in 2 hours we still learned a lot! I would recommend this tour with Marco.
This tour was everything I want: history, culture, little architectural details, humor, awe, and not having to worry about missing something with the headpieces. FYI: I would avoid buying anything in the tannery; the street shops are like 70% cheaper!!!
Simone's personality and enthusiasm are excellent, and it was a great intro to Rome. It's just that I could barely follow what he was telling us. I recommend he talk much more slowly, and be more clear about exactly who and what we're talking about. Giving us some kind of "chapter title" before launching into the stories would be a good start. 🙂 Talk to us like we know nothing, because most of us don't! Haha. I also wish we visited more spots and "hidden alleys" instead of staying inside the churches so long.
I sent a message to the guide 15 minutes before the start time, saying I'd be 5 minutes late. (Rushed from Civitavechia after overnight ferry.) I arrived at 4 past, and there was no group in sight. I searched the next stops in the description for 40 minutes, but never saw the "red flag with 'best free tours'". I think this was inconsiderate of the guide; if it were me, I would have checked my roster and messages if someone didn't show up, and at least waited till 5 past either way!!
