Hello everyone!! My name is Pablo I am a professional tour guide in Antigua Guatemala and its surrounding villages. I speak Spanish and English, I am 28 years old and I have been working in this industry for 6 years, doing historical walking tours that include visiting important monuments, ruins, and beautiful villages in the City of Antigua Guatemala. If you like off-the-beaten-path tours, then this is for you. Pablo is clearly passionate about giving tourists a different experience outside of super-touristy Antigua. The rides on the chicken buses were great. We took a quick detour to a bakery where the bread I bought was AMAZING. You have to try the eucalyptus wine during the tasting, it's unlike anything any of us had ever tasted. The chocolate place gave such a thorough demonstration and tasting (for free!) I didn't feel the need to pay for a chocolate class inside Antigua. I was happy to spend a lot of money buying high-quality chocolate from them. The jade place was very small, and the explanation was very short and limited- it was the only downer of the tour. Throughout the tour, Pablo gave us good historical information. I love that he cared so much about the stray dogs we came across. You will need cash for the buses but otherwise none of us were pressured to tip or buy anything from the places we visited-it was all my choice. I recommended this tour to several people during the rest of my stay in Antigua after my experience.
Pablo was full of knowledge for this fun tour. We took the public "chicken buses" that we would never have taken otherwise. Highly recommend this tour.
