Pradeep - Tour Guide in Varanasi

I had the time of my life with Pradeep in Varanasi. He was a great companion during my star and made me feel like a welcome guest in his home city. He has extenstive knowledge of the city and told me many stories about the various temples and places as well as teaching me about the hindu world view. It was an unforgettable experience, I would highly recommend Pradeep as a tour guide and even more so as a friend.

Tour guide didn’t show up at meetings point

Pradeep gave us a tour of backstreets and small temples that we wouldn’t have found ourselves. We were a large group of 8 which wasn’t well suited to the tour down narrow backstreets but would be good for solo travellers or couples.

Varanasi is ancient and you definitely need a guide. Pradeeps family have been here for generations. If you want to understand the city a local guide is the way. Pradeep is a good person with an extensive knowledge of this maze-like city, its hidden temples and history. He cares about his clients. He made sure I had water, food, felt safe, saw and experienced the city the way I wanted to experience the city and he always made sure I got back to my accommodation safely. I highly recommend Pradeep.

Walking around Baranas with Pradeep was a wonderful experience! I was the only one to book the tour that day and I felt cozy and comfortable like getting to know a city with a long time no see friend. Pradeep told many great stories from Hindu mythology, explained me the story of the ghats and the rituals that happen there as well as showed the everyday life of the Baranas people. While exploring narrow little streets we saw many small temples, drank chai, discussed the lifestyle and Hindu traditions. Pradeep answered my questions and also adjusted to my time as I enjoy walking slower, taking my time and taking pictures. Thank you! Highly recommended seeing Kashi with him 🙏🏼✨
