Abdelhak - Tour Guide in Marrakesh

Abdelhak is a spectacular tour guide and a wonderful representative of Ouarzazate. On our tour, he was friendly, insightful, honest, charming, and endlessly interesting, pointing out all the small intricacies of life in Ouarzazate and cheerfully answering all of our questions, whether about language, history, culture, or anything else. On top of all that, we were delayed a bit on the way to start the tour and so ended up coming to the tour late, but Abdelhak graciously waited for us. Highly recommended.

I did a tour with Abdelhak visiting Ouarzazate, the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, and a route through Kelaat M’Gouna all the way to Merzouga. He is a true professional: always positive, friendly, patient, respectful, and genuinely passionate about his work. Over the course of the trip, he even became a friend. Thanks to him, I saw the most beautiful sunrise in the world in Merzouga and discovered Ouarzazate and its stunning surroundings. He even invited my friend and me to share a couscous with his family — a warm and authentic moment that perfectly reflects his generosity and hospitality. The free walking tour, as well as the trip I later did with him and another friend, remains simply the best trip I’ve ever had in Morocco — and yet I was born there. A huge thank you to him for this unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a guide in Morocco, I highly recommend him without hesitation. Grâce à lui, j’ai vu le plus beau lever de soleil au monde à Merzouga et j’ai pu découvrir Ouarzazate et ses magnifiques environs. Il nous a même invités, ma copine et moi, à partager un couscous avec sa famille, un moment authentique et chaleureux qui montre sa générosité et son hospitalité. Le free walking tour, ainsi que le voyage que j’ai ensuite fait avec lui et une amie, reste tout simplement le meilleur voyage que j’ai fait au Maroc, et pourtant je suis née au Maroc. Un immense merci à lui pour cette expérience inoubliable. Si vous cherchez un guide au Maroc, je vous le recommande sans hésiter. Foncez les yeux fermés ! Je lui souhaite le meilleur !

As a tour guide myself I can tell you that this was one of the best tours I've had. Abdelhak presented all of the information in a clear and concise way. The amount of information I walked away with after this tour was amazing. He tought me interesting local traditions, architecture, religion, and to top it all off showed me the best local spots for food, local clothing and souvenirs. If you want to learn not just about the city of Quarzazate, but also about Morroco as a whole, this should be your tour guide.

This has been one of my best guided tours ever. The walk was very nice, Abdel shared a lot of knowledge about the city, about moroccan and berber culture, about food... and he was very kind and open. I really recommend it!
