Our guide was very nice and friendly. I was a little disappointed about the fact that 2 of the 3 tacospots where places I had already found online. Our guide would midway the tour tell us about how foreigners shouldn't visit Mexico City and if they were to do so, they should only stay in touristy places not to mess it up for the locals living here already, and therefore we shouldn't seek outside the tourist areas of Roma, Condesa and Polanca - but at the same time he was promoting another tour which was "not another tourist tour and showing the true and more local side of Coyoacan". It was a very odd talk, I fully understand that as visitors we should be aware of gentrification and its influence, however I left the tour with an odd feeling of not being welcome in the city. I would have enjoyed an insiders view of how we as visiters and consumers in a positive way can contribute and support local communities and not being told to stay away.
The booking was never confirmed and I never got a message telling whether the tour was happening or not or whether I could do it another day
