The tour was hugely informative - Benjamin has a knack of making centuries of history memorable and relevant, and he made the city come alive for us. He had clearly put an enormous effort into planning the content and route. It helped that we were such a small group but this was definitely the best tour we have taken anywhere!
My cousin and I took a walking tour with Benjamin in Aix on a cold January evening, being the only two participants. The cold night turned into a magic stroll thanks to Benjamin's knowledge, quirkiness and sense of humour. There was just a perfect measure of history, covering the periods from pre-history, Middle Ages to modern times, with precious biographic and political stories of the 19th-20th c. important artists and intellectuals, well mixed with anecdotal stories, plus a wonderful presentation of the city layout, streets and architecture. We highly recommend and five-star Benjamin.
