I regularly take part in walking tours and have experienced many different guides. This tour was good, but has room for improvement. The places visited were good. The focus was on Durbar Place, where we spent most of our time. This was really good because the entrance fee was quite expensive. The time there was spend very well and we learned a lot. All in all, I thought the guide spoke far too quickly and didn't have a clear concept running through his story. A better structure - first history, then something about religion, then certain rituals etc. - would help a lot. He used a lot of terms (city names or names of rituals or similar) that we couldn't identify and he didn't explain. This made it very difficult to follow what he was saying. We had to ask a lot of questions to understand it better. All questions were answered, but I actually expect a story that tells everything.
Don't miss this tour if you are in Jaipur. We walked around for about 4 hours and learned so much. No walking tour has ever made the time pass so quickly. It was definitely more of a tour about the culture of India, topped with some historical highlights. This is exactly what we needed and were looking for to understand the country a little better.
Unfortunately one of the worst tours we've done so far. It started when he arrived 15 minutes late. He didn't introduce himself properly, no friendly "hello, welcome to the tour, welcome to Costa Rica". He also said a few unfriendly things in general. The historical things were very interesting, but he spoke far too quickly, gave few explanations and just reported facts. The group was large and it was often difficult to understand him. The second half was characterized by a 15-minute toilet break and then we went to the park, where he showed two photo motifs (Mexico wings and a kissing couple) and everyone was supposed to take photos. But there were no explanations. At this point we left the tour because we were getting bored. I wanted to learn something about Costa Rica and San Jose and not just take any photos for which I didn't even get any explanations.
