We have two different tours.
At 10.30am, every day, all year round - The beauties of Florence – Free Walking tour (in English and Spanish. In Italian on request with a minimum of 10 people)
We will show you the beauties of Florence on a route that starting from Piazza Santa Maria Novella, where the tour through the historic center begins, will take us to Piazza Santa Croce where the tour ends.
During the tour we will be able to admire all the main monuments of Florence such as Piazza Duomo with the beautiful Duomo, Giotto's Bell Tower, the sumptuous Baptistery and the beautiful Brunelleschi's Dome, Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi Museum and the Ponte Vecchio.
At 6pm every day, all year round - Free tour of Florence at sunset (in English, Spanish and Italian)
We will visit the Oltrarno (the other part of the city on the other side of the Arno river), one of the most famous and fascinating areas of Florence.
We were on our way to Florence from the cruise port when an email was sent cancelling our confirmed tour at short notice after other clients had cancelled "mainly due to train delays." Having not received that message, we were left waiting at the meeting point until I rang Another Florence to find out from Luigi why the guide hadn't turned up. The guide, Chiara, then contacted us offering a private tour for 120 Euros! I politely declined, resisting the temptation to allow her to experience the disappointment and frustration of being left waiting at the meeting point. As it happened, they should never have been offering walking tours around Florence that day. The annual Florence Marathon, with over 10,000 runners, was being held around the city centre along a barricaded route that no-one could cross, making most of the sights inaccessible. Many more thousands of spectators crowded the footways and made walking impossible around much of the city. I had contacted Another Florence on the Saturday after hearing that the city would likely be at a standstill the following day and was (wrongly) assured that the marathon route wouldn't affect the planned walk. It's now obvious that the other clients who had cancelled were more aware of the impact of the marathon than Another Florence seemed to be. We managed to get back to the station and made an early return to our cruise ship at Livorno after a very frustrating day. We hope you have better luck if you decide to risk booking this tour with Another Florence.
