A cosmopolitan spirit here. Travelling apart, I have lived in Norway, Spain, and Australia, where I have both studied and worked for longer periods. Now that I am based in Sofia, it has been good fun showing visiting friends and family around. My passion for history, art, and culture has led me to become a licensed tour guide. It is a side job for me and I do it for the pleasure of being a good host.
Very knowledgeable and comprehensive. Great historical and contemporary information. Highly recommended.
Chavdar gave an excellent, fun, highly informative tour, covering all things Bulgarian culture from the ancient Thracians to the rose festival, from Bulgaria's unusual WWII history to Sofia's surprising role in Hollywood. He really took his time despite that we were a small group, and had thoroughly knowledgeable answers for everyone's questions - even following up with additional information after the tour, which was extremely thoughtful of him. Lots of great dining, hiking and even music recommendations too. This is a really top-notch introduction to Sofia and beyond, both for first-timers and people who want to delve a little deeper. Thanks, Chavdar!
Chavdar was very engaging and eager to share his wealth of knowledge about Bulgaria. A lot of interesting history was covered, and modern day Bulgaria was explored with great insights into the culture. Highly recommend this tour by Chavdar if visiting Sofia!
Guru free walk is always a very good way to get informations about the town you are visiting
