Anat was everything we would want from a tour guide - knowledgeable, approachable, funny and dynamic! It’s clear that she had thought very thoroughly about the route and the information she wanted to cover. We learned so much from her. Thank you Anat :)
This tour was quite different to our expectations. 1h into the tour, we had not moved 50m within the starting point. The guide held us in the same area, standing in just 3 spots in 1h (nowhere near Temple Mount) and gave us bits of information about Jerusalem during various periods eg independence, and not particularly related to the Temple Mount. He made us watch a video about the capture of Jerusalem by Jordan which took 15mins. He then made us watch another video, at which point we left to go to the western wall and then Temple Mount ourselves. We later saw the group, stationary on the bridge to the Temple Mount, listening to another (perhaps long) explanation about some photos on the bridge. This might be the right tour for those among us who enjoy seminars and general Israel-related information, but if you’re looking for an active, varied “walking” tour specifically about the Temple Mount then you might be disappointed, like we were.
