Originally a translator by trade, my passion for history and culture made me decide to widen my skills and become a tour guide. I am passionate about Asturias which, despite possible appearances to the contrary, is actually where I am from. I love showing people around my home and helping them discover its history, people and traditions. Showing people from around the world my little piece of the “natural paradise” that is Asturias is truly a passion of mine.
Had a really fantastic tour with Tom. Actually did both the Gijon and Oviedo tours with him and each experience was the same top level. We usually do a walking tour when we first arrive in a new city so we’re no strangers to this sort of thing and Toms knowledge, presentation and pace is one of the best when it comes to these guided tours. Even when asked some questions off the cuff, he had the answers and actually, it was more like a conversation with a knowledgeable friend rather than a scripted schoolroom lecture which was really nice. Would definitely recommend booking a tour with Tom.

Tom was very informative and a local to Aviles. He took us through the history of Avilés and showed us all of the interesting sights. We were left with enthusiasm about the city and a list places that we wanted to revisit. I would recommend this tour on your first day or even if you only have a couple hours as it is definitely worth it.
