The Kibera community tour with our two guides was an amazing experience. They made my wife, daughter, and me feel safe and welcome throughout the tour. This was a private tour, and we were the only group — which made the experience even more personal and special. Our guides, Clement and Luke, were both incredibly warm, friendly, and heartfelt. What made them truly stand out is that they both grew up in Kibera themselves, so they know the community deeply and intimately. The various stops were very touching and gave us a deeper understanding of how people live and work there. They showed us an orphanage and gave us a real glimpse into everyday life in Kibera — something that stayed with us long after the tour. One thing we particularly appreciated: this was absolutely not a “sales tour.” In many guided experiences, you end up being taken to shops where you feel pressured to buy something — that was definitely not the case here. There was no hidden agenda, just an authentic and meaningful experience. Clement and Luke responded to every wish we had. We wanted to eat bananas — no problem at all! My little daughter even got her hair done in dreadlocks, which she absolutely loved. They took so much time with us, never made us feel rushed, and went above and beyond in every way. Both of them are genuinely authentic, kind, and friendly — true ambassadors of their community. This was a truly human-centered experience that offered meaningful insight into life in Kibera. I highly recommend this tour — 100% — to anyone looking for an authentic and impactful visit.

A fantastic experience, very educational, showing how you can organize your life so that it doesn't always give more than it takes away. Luke and Klement are in a class of their own. We were there with our 12-year-old son, and we felt safer than in our own home. Luke and Klement are people who are changing the world. Huge congratulations on your initiative! Don't hesitate for a moment before making a decision. Support the local community whenever you can. Bravo. Thank you for your work guys!

Luke is legit, he's from Kibera and said hello to someone about every 2 minutes. He gave a lot of good information and the access I wanted when I booked the tour: the chance to sit down with two different locals and ask them about their lives. One didn't speak great English, so Luke translated. I felt safe throughout the tour. There's a bit of commercialism, a food stop and a jewelry stop, but there was no pressure to buy and they were both local community-focused groups. Visiting a slum is fraught with opportunities for one group to use another. This one is done right.

This tour was one of the best tours I have done in my life. We came to Kenya to do safari but that doesn’t show you how Kenyans live. We went to an orphanage run by a very kind lady who dedicated her life to this cause. We went to one of the houses and saw how they look like from inside. We saw the railway line and went to a viewing point where you can see the rest of the slum. We walked around the second hand market w talked to a lot of people on the way. Everyone was extremely kind, genuine and welcoming. Luke was super helpful and kind. You can see how he wants to help his community. I would suggest taking with you some change in case you felt like contributing or helping the people you talk to. Thank you Luke 🙏🏻
