I’m sorry to hear that your experience on the tour wasn't a positive one, as the tour I give has had such good reviews from others who have taken the tour with me- of which I am always grateful. It is quite surprising to me as my tour has always been the same every time I’ve taken it. I’m a bit confused as you seemed to have liked the tour as you called it “Great”, but then you mentioned: “The story sounds like a number of facts which are hardly linked.” I try to find a balance between facts, the artistic aesthetic, the social and political events of that time and a condensed biography of Gaudí, his architectural methods and his genius: and fuse them into a story. This has been directly commented on by many of the other visitors who have taken my tour. And as my tour has remained similar in form and content, I find it difficult to understand your statement that the tour “sounds like a number of facts which are hardly linked’. I must admit that there are also some statements you raised in your review which I must take serious issue with. “the possibility of cancelling the tour until the tour starts that the worst thing the guide can do” and that “To me that is a clear sign of unprofessionalism and arrogance towards the visitors.” On the page description it does state that the tour will not go ahead for less than two people. I had two bookings that day (yourself and another booking of two people). I had not received a response from the other booking when asking for all visitors to confirm their attendance on the tour. Two hours before the tour start time, I still hadn't received a confirmation from the other booking, so I sent you a message to inform you that, as there was the possibility that the other visitors might not turn up and therefore there would only be yourself the tour would be cancelled as is stated in the description page. I also mentioned in the same message that I would give you the name of another guide that would be able to do the tour for you so you wouldn't be left without a tour. I didn't receive a response from you. As I still hadn't received a confirmation from the other booking and your response to my message, I made the 50 minute journey to Barcelona at my own expense to meet you personally to either give you a tour or the name of another guide. When I met you, I told you that I had sent you the message and that it is clearly stated on the description page that the tour doesn't go ahead for less than two people, and I would give you the name of another guide. You seemed unaware that that was in the description. So I must say that your statement “ the possibility of cancelling the tour until the tour starts” to me is not an accurate reflection of the events that happened leading up to meeting you at the start of the tour, as mentioned above. As you can see I tried everything I could to make it known to you of the situation, but I presume you didn't read the description of the number of people needed for the tour to proceed, otherwise you would have know. And I presume you didn't read the message I sent to you two hours before the start of the tour, and didn't read the fact that I would give you the name of another tour guide so you wouldn't be left without a tour. So, if that is unprofessionalism and arrogance on my part, then I look forward to hearing from you to let me know how better I could have proceeded. But I cannot accept what seems to be an unfounded slur on my reputation.
