Hi, I'm Majo, I was born and raised in Villa de Leyva, a place where I've been a guide for about 5 years. I have always liked meeting people and places for this reason, I have traveled and lived in foreign countries such as France and New Zealand, experiences that allowed me to learn other points of view and language. For about 10 years, together with my husband, we decided to rescue the historical memory and anecdotes of my municipality through oral narration and acting. Today we use this knowledge to bring national and foreign tourists closer to the life of a Villaleyvano.

We had a wonderful tour around Villa de Leyva with David and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the area, its history, and local culture, and he shared everything with genuine passion and kindness. What really made the experience special was how thoughtful he was with my mother-in-law, who doesn’t speak English. David kindly translated for her throughout the tour, making her feel fully included and comfortable, something we truly appreciated. The only small downside for us was the stop at a cocoa shop, which felt a bit like a tourist trap. Although the lady there was very nice and we did buy and try some products, the stop lasted much longer than necessary and became a bit boring. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would absolutely recommend David to anyone visiting Villa de Leyva who wants an informative, friendly, and well-organised tour. I would recommend.
