I had the most wonderful experience exploring Kashi with Anant ji, and I can’t recommend him enough. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and deeply passionate about the city. From the moment the walk began, he took me through lanes and spots I would have never discovered on my own — places that feel almost secret unless someone truly rooted in Kashi shows them to you. What I appreciated most was how he matched the pace completely to mine, answering every single question with clarity, stories, and context. It felt like getting a crash course on Kashi — its history, culture, rituals, architecture, energy — all brought together in a way that makes you see the city with a whole new perspective. He is professional, respectful, and genuinely kind, and the walk never felt rushed for even a moment. Every second spent with him was absolutely worth it. If you’re visiting Varanasi, I highly recommend starting your trip with his walking tour. It sets the tone for everything that follows. Really lovely guy with a lot of knowledge. He has a clear passion for the area and its history, you can see it in the beaming smiles he gives when we are staring in awe at some of the beautiful temples and ghats he took us to. The tour was pretty long so be prepared for a lot of standing and walking if you're tired. It would've been nice to get to know more about Anant himself and for him to take more of an interest in us and what we're here for/ topics of interest but this is only something that would turn a fantastic tour into a world beating one. Anant knows all the right street food spots and foods, of course. Highly reconnected. Anant conoce todos los lugares buenos pasta comida callejera y todas las comida, por supuesto. Muy recomendable.
