Hello, I'm Behzad, who never cancel the tours, even with just one guest! I am a formerly Ph.D. student in physics, but now, passionate about the history and vibes of Berlin. A city with an amazing history in each corner and a multicultural vibe.
Why am I doing this? For more than a year, we have had a large group that goes out every week and visits a new neighborhood of the city, and we haven't visited a place twice! So I decided to share this experience and show Berlin, and all layers of it, to an even larger group of people, that are you! Guruwalkers!
Behzad was a wonderful tour guide! He kept the tour engaging and entertaining, and I definitely left with a lot of new knowledge about Berlin and the Kreuzberg area.
It was a truly enjoyable tour with Behzad, full of fascinating facts. He began with about a 20-minute history overview of Germany post WWII, which initially felt a bit long—mainly because the starting point seemed to be in an unremarkable neighborhood—but it turned out to be essential for understanding the history of Berlin and, in particular, the Berlin Wall, as we began the walk, which is the focus of this tour. We really appreciated the thoughtfulness and research he put into this tour. Finally, we also loved getting to do graffiti on the Berlin Wall ourselves (with the spray paints he brought along), and it’s clear he is an art lover too!
Kreuzberg throughout history. Behzad definitely did his research and could tell a lot of background, connections and fun facts. We walked and laughed a lot and learned a lot about the speciality of Kreuzberg. Thank you Behzad, that was a great start of our Berlin trip. Andrea&Lavinia
