I am a Ph.D. title candidate in Anthropology who has been to around 75 countries. I am passionate about meeting people from different countries and backgrounds. I am also an experienced tour guide who has done over 1,000 tours in Portugal, some 300 in Brazil as well as another 300 in Thailand (the country which was the subject of my doctoral thesis).
While I am skilled in History, I also have a strong bohemian part of my personality, thus I enjoy showing my clients the best bars and restaurant to attend in the city.
In my tours, I prize that the clients will get both a general knowledge of the History of Lisbon or the cuisine of Rio and local tips on how to enjoy their time in the city.
This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. So laid back and entertaining, we all even went for a Capirinha together afterwards. I loved the restaurants we went to and the island we visited at the end. Eduardo introduced us to many aspects of Brazilian culture that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. An experience of a lifetime wouldn't be an understatement.
Excelente tour! La comida fue deliciosa, Eduardo es un excelente story teller, con historias sobre Barra y Rio muy interesantes. Estoy feliz de haber conocido Barra acompañada de Eduardo! Imperdible!
Very in-depth and and super local experience! Eduardo is very knowledgable as he grew up in this region and told us so much about the history of Rio, Barra region and Rio's food history. The choice of restaurants are also very nice, that made us understand the society and cultural changes from 1500s until today. If you are a foodie and cultural fans I highly recommend this tour!
This tour was such a thorough history of Brazilian delicacies and the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. Eduardo is a wealth of information and is well versed in many topics. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the islands. That was a pleasant surprise! Thank you Eduardo!
