Greetings! I'm Akaki Sulava, a proud local of Kutaisi, my beloved Hometown where I took my first breath in the vibrant 90s. By profession, I am an air traffic controller, but my true passion lies in showcasing the beauty of Kutaisi through my free walking tours since 2018, and organizing captivating Soviet Tours in western Georgia since 2019.
My heart beats with excitement as I have the opportunity to connect with fascinating individuals from all corners of the globe. The love I hold for my city inspired me to embark on this journey, allowing me to share its hidden gems and provide a unique exploration experience to the community of travelers. Witnessing the joy and satisfaction on their faces at the end of each tour fills me with an indescribable sense of fulfillment.
As an avid traveler myself, I wholeheartedly support the concept of free walking tours worldwide and have actively participated in many of them. Being able to contribute to the development of my city is not only a way of expressing gratitude for the enriching experiences I've gained, but also a chance to give back and unveil the wonders of Kutaisi to others.
Join me on a memorable journey through the charming streets of Kutaisi, where history, culture, and adventure intertwine. Together, let's create lasting memories and celebrate the essence of travel.
Alex was a fabulous guide and brought us to numerous unique and interesting spots that gave us a real feel for Kutaisi's history, current affairs, tourist spots and lesser known facts/sights. I would highly recommend taking this tour to see photos/videos and receive insight into the history you wouldn't learn otherwise, and for incredible restaurant and activity recommendations for your time in the city! However, please note the complete lack of professionalism from the coordinators of the company. I was messaged hours before the tour to confirm the number of guests, and at the time had some members of my party that were asleep/unwell. When I clarified this and went to modify the booking, I was met with the rude response that it's "the same every time from the groups of your country" and told "no matter" when I responded that I was looking forward to the tour. Be mindful to modify bookings far in advance otherwise you may encounter a rude coordinator such as I did.
El guía dijo que no existía el tour y luego me ofreció el mismo por 70€
Alexandre was very knowledgeable, fun, empathetic & kind. He also spoke excellent English & provided recommendations for places to see & eat at. Do yourself a favour & book this tour when in Kutaisi.
