We enjoyed an engaging walking tour through the city center of Almaty. It offered valuable insights into the city's history, allowed us to sample local cuisine, and took us past several notable monuments and landmarks. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include more social context about the country. The tour focused primarily on historical sites and factual information, with little reference to contemporary societal issues such as politics, daily life, or civil liberties. I'm not sure whether this omission was intentional or due to a lack of in-depth knowledge on the subject.
It's a good tour I think, by far the most interesting I did in central Asia.
