If you ever want to experience how hectic a market is without getting lost and swept away, this is your opportunity. I will never forget this experience and Kelvin is a cool guide. He can gave us a couple of foods to sample on the route which was nice and took us through the many different places of the market we would have had no idea were there. Stella and Elijah were amazing guides and awesome humans. They really show you the ins and outs of chocolate city, provide the history and entertain all questions. My companions and I felt safe during the entire tour and the locals that spoke to us were friendly (especially the childrend). I highly recommend their tour for people who want to really get a perspective of how some people are living in Kenya away from the typical tourist areas. I appreciate Stella and Elijah for their time and effort they put in to make this a worthwhile tour and for what they pour into their community. I highly recommend them for those interested in taking this tour.

Solid tour to further explore Ueno and ameyoko. Manabu was very knowledgable and professional and really knew his history. I would recommend to others!
This is easily my favorite tour that I went on between Rio, Sao Paulo and Salvador. Luiz is amazing for offering these tours as he's sharing with you his home and how the locals live. The tour is very safe and very insightful. From the various art work and the amazing views, it's worth every second of the tour. Luiz is also an open book so he answered all my questions (no matter how dumb lol) and showed us beautiful art/murals along the way. Bring your walking shows as you will be going through entire favela from top to bottom (i still can't believe we did that lol). The tour ends at the train station which is really easy to figure out as well. If you're debating about taking the tour, don't think about it, just do it. It's worth every second and it's unforgettable. Thanks Luiz for being awesome and sharing with us a side of Rio we would have never imagined seeing!
