Francesco was very knowleagble - was able to tell us about the actual history along with some amusing folklore. Overall a great tour!
When we travel to an international destination that is new to us, as Bologna was, we always book a walking tour for the morning of our first full day in town. This can give us an excellent overview of the history of the place and stories of its people. Francesco's tour fit the bill for us completely. He was charming, full of information and stories, pointed out features of buildings that were not in the guidebooks, and explained many of the cultural ways that make Bologna unique. We were more than completely satisfied with our time with Francesco!
