Steve has an in depth knowledge of Old Portsmouth gleaned by working in the Navy Dock Yard for 40 years. He made our walk both interesting and entertaining.
Steve is very enthusiastic about the tour. He made everyone feel welcome and part of the tour. He even manages to few bad Dad jokes.

Apprezzo molto anche la sua disponibilità prima del tour: ha risposto con gentilezza e puntualità ai messaggi che gli avevo inviato per avere informazioni. Durante la visita, ogni volta che avevo una domanda rispondeva subito, e se qualcosa non mi era chiaro me lo spiegava con pazienza e semplicità, aiutandomi anche con l’inglese. Grazie a lui ho scoperto aspetti e dettagli della città che da sola non avrei mai notato. The morning went by pleasantly thanks to his accuracy, knowledge, and great availability. He told the history of the city with interesting anecdotes, curiosities, and funny remarks that made the tour engaging and never boring. I also really appreciated his availability before the tour: he replied kindly and promptly to the messages I sent him asking for information. During the visit, whenever I had a question, he answered immediately, and if something wasn’t clear he explained it with patience and clarity, also helping me with my English. Thanks to him I discovered aspects and details of the city that I would have never noticed on my own. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to discover Portsmouth in an authentic and enjoyable way!
