I ended up doing a private tour with Shivam (no other people showed up) and I loved every moment of it! The tour took a bit less than the scheduled 3 hours. During this time I managed to eat a ton of local dishes (my recommendation: when doing the tour, have a light breakfast and skip lunch entirely), I learned a lot about the history and culture of Mumbai and India from the local's perspective and I experienced the local life, taking a city train and a minibus, dining on the floor at the popular beach and crossing busy market streets. Moreover, Shivam answered all my questions and gave a ton of recommendations for the rest of my stay. Couldn't imagine a better evening!
Thank you very much to Balaji who made our Dharavi tour very special. He showed us around all the ins and outs of Dharavi and was informative and fun. Balaji spoke very good English and welcomed and answered all the questions that we had. Definitely recommend!
Siddhesh is a good guide but sometimes his accent made it hard to understand. We were only 2 people so it was like a private tour. We passed some very small alleyways so it's not recommended to be more than 5-6 people. The areas we visited were very interesting,
Very good food tour of Mumbai by shivam. There was an issue with my booking and the tour left without me but he waited and gave me the full tour anyway so he was great. He made sure on a very busy night that getting back to the hotel was successful too! Lots of tasty food. I’m very full! Good to see various areas and cultures of the city.
A good two hour walk to see the real skins area with industry, residential, markets, schools and people
