Mary was incredible, honest, and transparent. This was easily one of the best tours I've ever been on (and I've been on hundreds of GuruWalk tours across the globe). It's clear Mary is passionate about the topic and her dedication to a complete tour is evident as a guest. Mary was such a great guide! I honestly thought the tour might feel too long or get tiring, but she made it super engaging from start to finish. She knows all the best spots to paus,often choosing places with benches or steps so people can sit and rest which makes a big difference. There's also a 15-minute break in the middle, which really helps break things up and recharge a bit. She brings pictures to help tell the story, and the way she connects history to today is so refreshing it really makes you think. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and doesn’t sugarcoat things, but she does it in a thoughtful, respectful way. She’s also open to different points of view and creates space for real discussion during the tour. Mary answers questions really well too,she clearly knows her stuff and takes the time to make sure everyone feels heard. The tour covers some heavy topics, but Mary keeps the vibe thoughtful without making it too dark. She sets expectations clearly at the start, and everything flows really smoothly. I’ve done quite a few walking tours across Europe, and this one is definitely up there as one of the best.
