Free walking tours in Casablanca

I recommend a walking tour in Casablanca as a good way to see a variety of sites. Definitely go inside Hassan II mosque not just outside as it is the high light of the tour. Separate from the tour make a reservation for lunch at Rick's Cafe

From the meeting point at the White Cathedral, through the Arabic gardens to the Pigeon Square where many government buildings are found, Yahya was full of information, history and stories. A highlight of course was crossing the city through the old Medina. But There were so many people since there was a film with John Cena filming Matchbox that we really didn’t see much of the old Medina trying to get through. The best part was getting to the coast of the Mediterranean, to see the fort, Rick’s cafe and see the sun set behind the Hassan II Mosque. It was a great photo shoot! Amine was an excellent guide for our group of 10. He was knowledgeable and very patient and flexible in going with our interests when it veered from the course he had charted. He is a good photographer too and showed us the best angles to take photos.

Sufyan was exceptional. His knowledge and attentiveness was first class. You will come away with a much greater appreciation of Morocco and Casablanca if Sufyan is your guide.

I was supposed to be on 2p.m tour but because I could not exchange money, Orange refused to sell me sing credit card or euro their SIM. All the banks were not functioning because they have outage. I was able only to send the message to Sufyan when I checked at the hotel soon after 2pm. He suggested to attend his 5pm tour which I did. There was only Claudio registered but he had difficulty to catch taxi and Sufyan waited for him which was nice. He showed us places of interest snd shared some inside political information. He was attentive and kind. We ended our tour in Medina cafe where we tried Morroccon coffee.

Yaya taught us some common words, brought us to many local sights and was very interesting. He provided a great combination of facts, history and stories.

Sufyan gave an excellent tour. The route was well thought-out and Sufyan was knowledgeable and answered candidly all our questions. I highly recommend this tour and guide.

Good tour but perhaps talked and walked a bit too fast. He worked hard to get us to the Mosque in time for the last tour of the day.

Guide is nice and spends a lot of time with you. He was great about answering questions. However, he did take us to some of his friends shops which I found really odd. This was my third walking tour in Morocco and neither of the other guides did this. The shop was not good and the staff weren’t very nice. I was really disappointed in that and it gave me less of a positive experience of Casablanca.
