Richard è una guida turistica di Londra di grande esperienza che ha lavorato nel settore per 25 anni. Ha iniziato lavorando per i palazzi reali storici con sede a Hampton Court Palace prima di diventare una guida con The Original London Tour (ora Toot Bus) e successivamente un manager di guide per Tour d'oro. La sua carriera lo ha visto lavorare in molte delle principali attrazioni di Londra, tra cui il London Film Museum, il Tower Bridge Museum, un lungo periodo al tour degli studi di Harry Potter e persino allo stesso Buckingham Palace. La sua variegata carriera lo ha visto lavorare anche per Merlin Entertainments (la società che possiede e gestisce The London Eye, Madame Tussauds, Sealife ecc.) City Cruises e unire la sua passione per lo sport e in particolare per il calcio per lavorare come guida al Chelsea FC, West Ham Tour dello United FC e dello stadio di Wembley. Negli ultimi 4 anni Richard ha organizzato free walking tour indipendenti per piccoli gruppi tramite Guruwalks, utilizzando la sua vasta passione per Londra, la sua profonda conoscenza ed esperienza per dare vita a Londra per migliaia di visitatori felici ogni anno.
Richard was kind and knowledgeable! There was a change of plans for the day of my guided tour- rather than the normal change of guard it was also practice for the kings upcoming birthday celebration parade. Richard adapted to the changes and had great insight! Highly recommend- I do believe the experience without a guide (and in particular Richard) would have been less than ideal with the large crowds and not knowing where to go to optimize time.
Really informative tour and had a chance to see the change of guards up close
Richard took us to several spots to see different aspects of the guards' ceremonies. We did not position ourselves in one spot & wait for extended periods. He was very knowledgeable about the current happenings/expectations around Buckingham Palace, was in contact with other guides in the area to get up to the minute information. As we were reminded, the guards are part of the palace happenings/security they are not there for our entertainment. Plans can change at any time.
On our tour with Richard, we caught the marching of the Horseguards to rehearsal which we never would have seen without him! Recommend 100%!
King Richard was great his timing was perfect for the changing of the Guards and as a bonus we were lucky to see the King and Queen drive past us ! Great experience
