On this walking tour of Asakusa, we'll travel back in time and discover Tokyo's most traditional district. You have a date with the history of Japan's fascinating capital!
We'll meet outside the Burger King in Asakusa to begin this tour of one of Tokyo's most iconic neighborhoods. (I'm wearing the hat in my photo and carrying a fan.)
Without wasting any time, we'll begin a stroll through the charming Asakusa neighborhood to discover some of its highlights. We'll admire the scenery from the banks of the Sumida River.
We'll visit Kaminarimon Gate, stroll along the lively Nakamise Street, see the grandeur of Sensō-ji Temple, and explore the Asakusa Shrine. As we wander through this neighborhood, we'll soak up its unique atmosphere and discover its stories and secrets.
Finally, after a two- to two-and-a-half-hour tour, we'll conclude the free tour at the entrance to Don Quijote in Asakusa, where you can find a wide variety of souvenirs, Japanese snacks, and traditional products to take home as a special memento of Japan.
