Essential tour of the main points of Tarragona
Tour description
We'll begin our tour of the ancient Roman capital by visiting the Mediterranean Balcony, the most important balcony for Tarragona residents, overlooking the MARENOSTRUM, located at the end of Rambla Nova.
Once we've met everyone and explained what the tour will entail, we'll leave one of the best views of the city and head to the Amphitheater, where we'll explain one of the most important sites in the city and, formerly, in the country, and delve into the history of the ancient Romans. It's one of the best-preserved in the entire WORLD!
We will continue walking until we come across the doors to the Roman Circus where I will explain some of its curiosities.
By the way, have you ever wondered who the first Roman emperor of the city of Tarraco was? Well, you can find out next to the Praetorium Tower, where you'll get an idea of who he was and what his intentions were for this wonderful city.
Walking toward the Cathedral of Santa Tecla, we'll come across the Forum Square, the former center of social and political life. Upon reaching the Cathedral of Santa Tecla, built on Roman and Moorish sites, you'll be able to admire its beauty and learn more about it.
We will end the tour at the Walls, which are located in front of the Rambla Vella, where I will explain what happened to part of them and how the Ancient Tarraconensis that we know today as TARRAGONA ended.
