Ancud City Walking Tour, a one-of-a-kind tour of the city.
At the indicated time we will meet at Arturo Prat #112. The first stop will be at the Plaza de Armas where we will discover the origins of this city founded more than 400 years ago. In this same place we will see the different mythological figures which will allow us to delve into the beliefs of Chiloé.
We will also visit the Ancud Cathedral, learn about its history and its importance in the city of Ancud. Our next stop will be at the Museum of the Churches of Chiloé where we will delve into the religious culture of the Archipelago.
Afterwards, we will enter the fair, where we will find fruit, vegetables and cheeses as well as craft shops. We will continue walking until we reach Fort San Antonio, built by order of Carlos III to defend these lands from enemies. At this point we will review how the Chiloé's independence, a fascinating chapter in the history of Ancud.
After a two and a half hour tour, we will end the guided tour by saying goodbye at the Goleta Ancud square.
