INDIVIDUAL RADIO GUIDES SO YOU DON'T MISS A DETAIL!
What secrets does the Spanish capital between 1601 and 1606 hide?
It won't take long to find out, because at the scheduled time we'll meet in the Plaza Mayor to begin the free tour of the mysteries and legends of Valladolid.
The Plaza Mayor, as Valladolid writer Miguel Delibes recounts in his novel El hereje , hosted various autos-da-fé during the time of the Holy Inquisition. After learning some stories related to the Holy Tribunal, we'll head to the Monastery of San Benito el Real. Did you know that a miraculous Christ was kept inside? Our next stops will be in front of the palaces of the Marquis of Valverde and Fabio Nelli. Both are steeped in mystery!
Next, we'll head to San Pablo Square. This esplanade houses the church of the same name and the Pimentel Palace, where Philip II was born.
We'll continue our free tour of Valladolid by walking to the José Zorrilla House-Museum, where we'll learn the story of an enigmatic ghost.
Finally, after an hour and a half of walking, we'll conclude our free tour at the Church of Our Lady of the Ancient, where two fascinating stories await us to put the finishing touches.
